Psychologist
8354 Northfield Blvd, Bldg G, Ste 3700, Denver, CO
I am a first-generation Iranian American and take great pride in my culture and ethnic background. I value people of all identities and aim to create an inclusive therapeutic space. I’m proud that Empowered Living Collective is woman-owned and that we have the opportunity to help and empower clients from diverse backgrounds. I believe our identity helps define who we are, and I will always honor yours. I love working with people of color, neurodiverse individuals, people with disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ communities. A core part of my practice is creating a space where each client can be seen, honored, and embody their true self. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults from various backgrounds, ability levels, and mental health struggles. I understand how challenging it can be to find a therapist you feel comfortable with who also promotes change and growth. I hope to be someone who bridges this gap. My two strongest areas of focus are Children/Adolescents and Pregnancy/Postpartum Mental Health Support. Here’s a bit about how I came to love working with these communities: Children/Adolescents: I have worked with children with disabilities and mental health concerns for 16 years. My experience spans public schools, facility schools, residential settings, homeless shelters, private practice, and in-home care. Some of my greatest experiences include working with Autistic youth (which is why I use identity-first language) and teens experiencing depression and anxiety. Becoming mentally healthy adults begins in childhood and adolescence, and I love helping empower people to find and build on their strengths. As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, I develop strategies and tools to modify behavior. I take a collaborative approach that often involves families and schools to ensure continuity of care. I earned my PsyD in School Psychology from the University of Colorado and hold a Bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College and Conservatory.
