What should a new client know about working with you?

When working with me two you can expect two things: A Safe Space for Personal Growth I am dedicated to providing a safe and non-judgmental environment where my clients can openly express their thoughts, emotions, and struggles. Through personalized counseling sessions, we will work together to identify your strengths and develop effective coping strategies tailored to your specific needs. Professional Support Rooted in Hope I believe that hope can be a powerful source of strength during challenging times. I offer clients the opportunity to integrate spirituality into their treatment and receive evidence-based therapeutic treatment. Everyone deserves to live a fulfilling and joyful life. I provide individual psychotherapy, couples counseling, and family therapy to help them with their challenges and find the support they need to flourish.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During the 1st few sessions I focus on gathering important information about you–such as your family of origin, a history of important events in your life, your culture, lifestyle, faith, relationships, and current stressors. This will help me understand your situation and determine a treatment plan with interventions that will help you achieve your goals in therapy. In the following sessions, you will have the opportunity to engage in deeper conversations that may lead to insights about yourself and an awareness of your feelings and thinking patterns, attachment style, and/or behavioral patterns that may be causing internal conflicts or problems in your relationships. My main goal is to help clients find stability and learn how to manage and reduce their distress. One of the evidence-based treatments I am trained on is Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I use DBT to help clients learn skills to balance unhelpful behaviors, feelings, or thinking patterns.
