Anand Brahmbhatt, NP

Anand Brahmbhatt, NP

Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
OH
I offer in-person and online psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adults ages 18–64 in Ohio. You might be wondering whether ADHD explains difficulties you’ve had for years, seeking help for anxiety or depression, or looking for a fresh perspective on your current medication. At our first visit, I’ll ask what prompted you to reach out and what you’d like to change. Sometimes the best place to start is with an ordinary moment, like lying awake replaying a conversation or struggling to finish a task you care about. We’ll talk about how long this has been happening, review your health history, and explore what’s helped before. I’ll explain my impressions in plain language so we can decide on a plan together. If medication is an option, we’ll discuss its potential benefits, possible side effects, and your preferences. At follow-up visits, I’ll ask what feels different in your daily life and what still feels difficult, so we can adjust your care as needed.

Getting to know Anand Brahmbhatt

I offer in-person and online psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adults ages 18–64 in Ohio. You might be wondering whether ADHD explains difficulties you’ve had for years, seeking help for anxiety or depression, or looking for a fresh perspective on your current medication. What should a new client know about working with you?

You don’t need to have the right words for what you’re experiencing. If it’s easier, start with a moment from the past week when you wished something had gone differently. I’ll listen, ask questions, and take time to understand what you’d like help with. I want you to feel comfortable telling me what matters to you, especially if a past treatment was disappointing or you’re unsure about medication. If I recommend a medication, I’ll explain why I think it could help, what side effects to watch for, and what other options we can consider. At follow-up visits, your experience guides our decisions. Something as simple as “I can focus better at work, but I’m having trouble sleeping” gives us a place to start.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

At our first online visit, I’ll ask what brought you in, when you first noticed a change, and how it’s affecting your day. We’ll review your health history, current medications, and any treatments you’ve tried. I’ll share what I think may be contributing to your symptoms and answer your questions. Together, we’ll choose a next step and agree on what to look for before we meet again. At follow-up visits, I’ll ask about the goal you set. For example, if worry has been keeping you up, are you finding it easier to settle down at night? If you’re taking medication, we’ll review the benefits and any side effects, then decide whether to continue or adjust the plan.
