About Andrea A. Leach
Andrea Leach, NP is a family nurse practitioner specializing in cardiology. Originally from Toronto, Canada, she earned her nursing degree from Western Connecticut State University, where she became a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She later obtained her master's degree as a family nurse practitioner from Chamberlain University.
Andrea is responsible for managing patient care in post-operative, medical, and surgical settings. She thrives on building relationships and working with patients to help them establish their healthcare goals and needs. She spent most of her 16-year career in acute care, working in oncology, orthopedics, the intensive care unit, the emergency department, and cardiology. Caring for people is her passion, and it's what she does best.
When she is not at work, Andrea enjoys spending time with her family, which includes a labradoodle mix dog. Her hobbies include playing the clarinet, and she is currently learning to play the electric guitar. She also loves the ocean. During the summer breaks of her high school and college years, she worked as a youth staff member on a reputable cruise line. She traveled through Alaska, the Caribbean, and the Americas, spending a total of 14 months at sea.
