About Dr. Andres Luciano Caneva
Dr. Caneva is a graduate of Northwestern University in 2013, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Biology and minor in Psychology. Dr. Caneva went on to complete his medical training at Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2018 and followed with a 3-year surgical residency at AMITA Health St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, IL.
Dr. Caneva is a current member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Caneva has participated in several educational and training courses, including the American Academy of Foot and Ankle Osteosynthesis in Skeletal Fixation, the Chicago Lower Extremity Surgical Symposium, and the ACFAS Foot and Ankle Arthroscopy Surgical Skills Course. Dr. Caneva is also fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Andres Caneva was born and raised in Lockport, IL, and is excited to be joining his father, Dr. Daryl Caneva, in the practice his grandfather, Dr. Reno Caneva, first started in 1960. He is thrilled to continue the legacy and serve the surrounding community. He enjoys spending his free time staying active and exploring on runs, as well as watching movies at home relaxing with his wife. Dr. Caneva is on staff at AMITA Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet and Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.

Wanted a second opinion regarding tingling in my foot. I’ve been in physical therapy for two months working on healing bulging discs which is what my other doctor said was causing the foot problem. Dr. Caneva was confident that the problem was stemming from the shape of my foot and calluses that are pressing on my nerves. Showed me pressure points from the insert in my shoe that further supported his diagnosis. Left with new inserts for my shoes, stretching exercises, no calluses on my feet, and relief that this is most likely not related to my spine.

I have seen at least 5 podiatrists in the past 10 years and Dr Andreas L Caneva and his staff were the most efficient - knowledgeable - caring and listening staff I have ever encountered. I needed my toenail ablated and the procedure was performed so expertly that even the anesthetic numbing of the toe caused me no discomfort - the toe has little discomfort today and seems to be healing rapidly. A young - knowledgeable and caring doctor and staff.

Dr. Caneva Jr. was extremely helpful and caring. After 3 other podiatrists, he was the only doctor who cared about my condition ( planters fasciitis) and how to care for it. He also addressed my neuropathy and was very concerned about the future health of my feet. He trimmed my feet/toes without me asking and designed a future program for continued health. I feel so very fortunate to have met this doctor and would highly recommend him for any feet/ankle issues.
