Hello, I'm Dr. Andrew! I am a chiropractor located in Murfreesboro, TN. I love what I do-chiropractic truly saved my life! My story of why I became a chiropractor was by accident, literally. I have broken every bone in my leg, spent almost two years in a wheelchair, and had four reconstructive knee surgeries as a teenager. I had always wanted to be a doctor; helping people has always been my passion. Given my history, becoming an orthopedic surgeon seemed like the right fit. I spent years shadowing and loved it. However, my lower back started to give me problems-I was dealing with sciatica, felt crooked from having a short/long leg, and just felt "off." I went back to my MDs to talk about my pain, and their solution was pain meds, injections, or surgery-or else I'd risk living in pain. At that moment, I realized I didn't want to be that kind of doctor who just pushed medications and surgeries, so I pulled the plug on becoming an MD. I felt there had to be some middle ground, an all-natural healing approach-I just didn't know what it was. At the same time, I had been a competitive bodybuilder for about six years. At my last competition, a few months after deciding not to pursue medical school, one competitor was a chiropractor. He talked to me about his life and the symptoms he treated. He opened my eyes to chiropractic. After that weekend, I found a local chiropractor... he fixed me! My MDs said it wasn't possible, yet this "fake" doctor helped me more than any MD did. I knew from that moment I was meant to be a chiropractor! I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Southern California University of Health Sciences, which equipped me with the knowledge and skills to help others heal naturally and effectively.
