About Dr. Andrew Cortes
Dr. Cortes earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the University of North Carolina Hospitals – Chapel Hill. During his fellowship, he gained extensive experience treating a wide range of pathologic conditions throughout the body using minimally invasive techniques.
Trained under many pioneers and leaders in vascular disease and embolization therapy, Dr. Cortes' areas of expertise include superficial venous disease, deep venous disease, and more. Beyond his clinical skills, he is known for his approachable and compassionate bedside manner. He takes pride in forming strong physician-patient relationships through an individualized approach to diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Cortes is committed to offering cutting-edge techniques to patients suffering from venous disorders and other conditions.
He is also a native Spanish speaker, which enhances his ability to connect with and serve a diverse patient population.

Everyone at the office is friendly and professional. I'm always seen right away and get follow up texts from Dr. Cortes after procedures. Plus the insurance liaisons makes getting answered easy.
