About Dr. Andrew Daugherty
Dr. Daugherty is a board-certified dermatologist who practices medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. He treats all conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails. He completed his dermatology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and medical school at the Wayne State University School of Medicine. He has authored papers relating to the management of melanoma and physician education appearing in the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Biology from Hillsdale College and a Masters of Business and Science from the Keck Graduate Institute in Claremont California. In addition, he is a veteran of the US Navy and served as a Naval Flight Surgeon.
Dr. Daugherty is passionate about dermatology and enjoys taking care of challenging skin problems as well as developing relationships with patients. He also practices skin rejuvenation and anti-aging treatments with neuromodulators (Botox®), dermal fillers (Juvederm®), and chemical peels. During your visit, Dr. Daugherty and his staff strive to provide each patient with excellent care, in a comfortable environment, as pain-free as possible.

Wonderful experience with a new dermatologist after going to my other doctor for the past 6 months seeing very little improvement in my situation so I am hopeful that I will resolve my skin issues soon based on the conversation I have had and the changes he is making in my skin care routine.

Dr. Daugherty is a young personable clinician who is down to earth and factual. He stuck to the diagnosis and treatment and did not try to sell e products or other services. He seems a very trustworthy doctor.

My appointment was just okay. The medical assistant didn't seem to know much about dermatologic diseases or medications, so that was not very reassuring. The doctor was nice enough, but not particularly warm and wasn't very keen on explaining anything. He also didn't do a thorough job in examining my area of concern, spent maybe about 5 seconds observing the area in total, which felt a bit odd given that he wasn't sure what was going on. You'd think he'd want to do a more thorough evaluation in that case. Overall, he said very few words. They also didn't send 2 of the 3 prescriptions that were supposed to be sent to my pharmacy. Such a hassle.

At first I wasn’t sure because the front office staff is not at all friendly. But after meeting the attending nurse and then the doctor, all was forgiven. Dr. Daugherty is a very good listener and seems to genuinely care for his patients.

Great bedside manner and friendly staff. As a new patient, I felt that the appointment was extremely efficient. I had to get a mole evaluated and I was impressed by the flexibility and expeditiousness of the clinic to be able to accomodate a shave biopsy at the same appointment. Dr Daugherty is knowledgable and made me feel extremely comfortable.
