Andrew Henderson, PA-C

Andrew Henderson, PA-C

Physician Assistant
390 Salem Ave W, Winston-Salem, NC
As a child growing up with epilepsy, I knew how scary that time was for my parents, and how the pediatric neurologist I saw always had a positive and reassuring attitude that made my condition less scary for all of us. I also grew up seeing how a stroke impacted my grandmother's life: I saw the economic, emotional and physical struggles that result from a chronic ailment. Both experiences influenced my decision to pursue a medical career. Family medicine allows me to make connections that go beyond my patients' well-being and impact the well-being of the entire Winston-Salem community. I work to explain all conditions affecting my patients, as well as any treatment suggestions, as simply as possible. This helps us make better decisions together about their care. I also ensure that the care I provide is as comprehensive as possible before looking at additional treatment with specialist teams. This provides quicker answers and reduces the number of appointments needed. When I am not at work, you can typically find me with my wife and our four cats. We are both physician assistants, so we are able to learn a lot from each other. I am also an avid reader, audiobook listener, gym goer and coffee drinker.
