About Dr. Andrew Holden

Andrew combines evidence-based primary care with focused sleep training and first-hand experience navigating sleep apnea himself. A graduate of Emory University and the University of Pennsylvania, he received advanced training in pathophysiology and pharmacology and is board-certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. His experience at Penn Medicine's Sleep Center included sleep-study review, PAP setup and optimization, and evaluation of surgeries and other CPAP alternatives. He can order high-quality AASM-1A home sleep studies to evaluate suspected sleep apnea, prescribe CPAP and more advanced PAP therapies, and provide referrals for sleep apnea surgeries and dental appliances. He can also prescribe non-controlled substances for management of insomnia and sleep disturbances, manage GLP-1 therapy for treatment of sleep apnea and weight management, and manage medications for common sleep apnea comorbidities such as diabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. He does not treat narcolepsy, periodic limb movement disorders, or manage PAP therapy for hypoventilation syndromes, neuromuscular disorders, or COPD.
