This private practice clinician with a strong academic flair completed his fellowship training in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at Duke University. Seeking knowledge in cartilage transplant, he spent time in Sweden and Belgium in the 1990s. These techniques have served as platforms to biologically save damaged joints rather than using metallic replacements. As such, he runs The Cartilage Restoration Center of New Jersey and is helping to pioneer subchondroplasty. This is the use of an already FDA-approved injection treatment (typically used for fractures) to reduce the joint pain in arthritic patients. This project is based on an emerging concept that joint pain may actually be caused by minute fractures in the bone supporting the troublesome joint that don’t heal rather than damage to the joint surface.
Dr. Levy has published extensively on cartilage injuries, ligament reconstruction, shoulder arthroscopy, fractures, soccer injuries, football injuries and injuries in women's sports. He has received awards from numerous organizations. He’s an active member of the International Cartilage Repair Society the Meniscal Transplant Study Group, the ACL study group and American Orthopedic Association for Sports Medicine. Dr. Levy specializes in both the non-operative and surgical treatments and routinely performs minimally invasive, state-of the art surgical solutions.

Wait time was non existent and the office staff was helpful and friendly. Dr. Levy offered treatments and other suggestions that I did not know existed. He offered solutions other than surgery.

I don't know where to start. Terrible experience all around. First, the office postponed my appointment by about two hours. When i showed up at a little before the revised time, there was no other patient in the office so I was not sure why the original appointment was moved. Anyways, I was initially examined by the Physician Assistant. I was then made to wait more than 40 mins before Dr Levy came in. He seemed to be in a hurry and spent all of three minutes with me. When he started leaving, I asked him what his diagnosis was. He shockingly said something that i have never ever heard from a doctor before - "I DO NOT HAVE ANY MORE TIME TO WASTE ON THIS". Really???!! He spent all of three minutes with me and does not have time to waste?? This behavior is unprofessional and totally unacceptable. I am obviously never going there again. Save your time and look elsewhere!

My visit is always awesome. The staff and my Doctor they make me feel so welcome.and I thank DR. Levy because of what I went through with my knees. Before I couldn't walk. And because of him I could walk now. Is been a long journey but I will always come to him. He is my savior. I highly recommended anyone to come and see DR. Levy. The best.
