I promote equity for mental well-being and embrace the wholeness of each individual to help them thrive at their best level. I hold a Doctorate in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from the University of California, Irvine. All new patients must complete an intake form with accurate information, including a correct phone number and email address.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Psychiatric NP counsels assists with crisis management, create treatment plans, and prescribe medication when necessary. Your Provider is compassionate, understands the sensitivity of mental health, and has exceptional communication skills. Engaging patient in 1:! Talk therapy has been a positive approach that has led to positive patient outcomes.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
The introductory phase enables getting to know the patient better and the reason for seeking help. We will discuss in detail to identify the struggles and arrive at the main diagnoses. We will formulate an attainable treatment plan together. In practice, patient teaching on what to expect, the benefits, and the consequences is a must.

New patients with medical insurance must be verified before confirming an appointment unless you are a cash-pay patient. It takes less than 2 hours to verify insurance coverage during working hours on Monday through Friday.
You may be required to fill out intake forms and consent for treatment through Headway or Grow therapy. Finally, you may be asked to leave your credit card on file in case your insurance coverage requires a co-pay

Dr. Angela Chijoke is an excellent, professional, and highly skilled provider. She has taken great care of me for the past year. Dr. Chijoke did not judge me for my diagnosis and worked with me to chart out a plan for my treatment which was instrumental in being able to bounce back to normal. I will miss her since I am leaving town and would highly recommend her to anyone looking to find quality care.

Dr. Angela Chijoke is an excellent, professional, and caring provider, and I have been very grateful to receive her care for the past year. She understood my needs and worked with me, to chart out a treatment plan. Dr. Chijoke did not make me feel inferior due to my diagnosis and treated me like a normal person which was instrumental in helping me bounce back. I will miss her care as I am moving out of town, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for quality care.

Angela really helped me during my time of need. I typically do not like to seek help, especially medical/mental. My quality of life has improved drastically and I've stopped some damaging habits(that I thought I could just stop doing if I had enough will power but was unsuccessful without help). She was able to identify what was going on with me and how to treat it and then modify treatment if it wasn't working well. I really appreciated that she was willing to listen.
