She uses a holistic, integrative approach, blending therapy and medicine when needed, and supports individuals in achieving balance across mental, physical, social, and spiritual well-being.
What should a new client know about working with you?
You can expect me to respect you no matter who you are, where you are from, and what you are going through. I hope that we can work together as a team to help you accomplish any goals you may have. I know it's a process, and hope that each week brings us a little bit closer to your goal. I may give homework or strategies to try at home in order to accomplish a specific goal.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
In a typical first session, I would introduce myself, and ask you what it is that I can help you with? I like to get as much pertinent background information as possible so that we can put all the pieces of the puzzle together and see the complete picture of you. I will do appropriate assessments for you including a nutritional assessment, as deficiencies can cause many symptoms of mental health. Childhood trauma or neglect, extended grief, or emotional abuse can significantly shape our lives and emotion reactions as adults. I would work together with you to form a treatment plan and set small steps or goals to achieve before the next visit. I have training in cognitive behavioral and dialectical therapy, and this can be applied to many situations. If your issues are not solvable with telehealth and you are in a safe place, I will work with you to find a type of therapy that would work best.
