I am a nurse practitioner (NP) with a focus on psychiatry and family medicine (anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, eating disorders, etc.). I have 9 years of experience working in the healthcare field. I have an extensive background in women's health and family medicine, but I later transitioned into psychiatry, working with patients with mental illness and substance abuse issues.
My approach
I'm passionate about providing patients with quality, evidence-based, and affordable care. Patient-centeredness is of the utmost importance and leads to more successful patient outcomes.
My focus
My patient focus is centered on individuals grappling with a spectrum of mental health challenges, including mood disorders such as depression, schizophrenia, ADHD, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, and stress-related conditions, etc. I also have a keen interest in treating patients with trauma-related disorders and those experiencing difficulties with adjustment following significant life changes. I am particularly comfortable managing complex cases that may involve comorbid conditions, such as substance use disorders alongside mood or anxiety disorders. My approach is integrative, utilizing both psychopharmacological and psychotherapeutic strategies tailored to each patient's individual needs.

As a professional nurse practitioner, my communication style is characterized by empathy, active listening, and a collaborative approach. I strive to create an open and non-judgmental environment where patients feel safe and comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings. My tone is supportive and respectful, aimed at fostering trust and rapport. In sessions, I prioritize establishing a therapeutic alliance that encourages open dialogue.
