My name is Angela Udeh, a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a rich background as a medical and mental health Registered Nurse in a Level 1 Trauma acute care hospital (Parkland Hospital Dallas). I bring a wealth of experience in providing comprehensive mental health care, with a deep understanding of emergency room, inpatient, and outpatient settings. I specialize in supporting individuals with various psychiatric conditions, always approaching each case with empathy, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity. My experience working in a diverse community, coupled with my ability to speak and understand English, enables me to effectively connect with a broad range of clients, ensuring they feel heard, supported, and understood. I earned my Master’s in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from The University of Texas at Tyler. I am enthusiastic about helping my clients achieve mental wellness and work collaboratively with them to develop tailored treatment plans that promote both immediate relief and long-term stability.

When collaborating with me, clients can expect compassionate, respectful, confidentiality, and non-judgmental approaches that prioritizes their mental health and well-being. I believe in creating a safe and open environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences. My goal is to collaborate with everyone to develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with their unique needs, goals, and values. I take the time to listen, educate and empower my clients to take an active role in their healing journey. With a focus on evidence-based practices and cultural humility, I aim to provide care that respects each client’s background and individual preferences.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
My process begins with acknowledging the client’s presence, explaining to the client what to expect during the session, which includes break down of the session into two parts: basics and
the main subjects. This includes comprehensive assessment where I gather information about the client’s background – medical, mental health, social and current concerns etc. This initial session allows me to understand the individual’s unique situation and start building rapport. After assessing their needs, I collaborate closely with the client to establish treatment goals and create a tailored plan that may include therapy, medication management, or a combination of both. Throughout our work together, I maintain an ongoing dialogue to monitor progress, adjust treatment strategies as needed, and ensure the client feels supported and empowered. I believe in holistic, collaborative approach that includes open communication, transparency, and a commitment to fostering a positive therapeutic relationship.
