“I’m an elderly patient and had difficulty trying to figure out how to get into Zoom but my provider waited 15 minutes and I finally was able to connect to her. She’s very friendly and kind. And I mistakenly booked an appointment with her because she did medication management. But I needed to talk therapy so we briefly went over my medication’s, which were only two of and I feel like it’s being managed properly so I won’t be going back to see her. But if I needed a medication management that was concerning, I would definitely choose her to help me. ”

Getting to know Anisha Sigdel

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), proud graduate of the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at Frontier Nursing University. My passion is providing compassionate, evidence-based care that supports the whole person—focusing not only on symptoms, but also on sleep, nutrition, lifestyle, and emotional well-being. At Serenity Mind and Health, I specialize in Anxiety, depression, PTSD, mood disorders, and sleep disturbances. My approach combines modern psychiatric medicine with holistic strategies, empowering patients to take an active, informed role in their healing and long-term wellness. I believe every individual is more than a diagnosis. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment where clarity, balance, and growth can thrive. Please Note: Because my practice is fully telehealth, I do not provide crisis or emergency psychiatric care. I am unable to treat patients experiencing active psychosis, hallucinations, or severe safety concerns. If you are having thoughts of self-harm, suicidal thoughts or plans, or are in any type of crisis, please call 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or contact your local crisis hotline immediately.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As your provider, my priority is to truly listen. I take time to understand your story, your challenges, and your goals before moving toward any treatment decisions. Every patient’s experience is unique, and I approach each session with empathy, respect, and a nonjudgmental mindset. My style is collaborative, patient-centered, and supportive. I believe the best outcomes happen when we work together as a team—combining your lived experience with my clinical expertise to create a treatment plan that feels right for you. I encourage open communication, questions, and active involvement in your care. My therapeutic approach blends evidence-based psychiatric care with practical lifestyle guidance, focusing not only on symptom relief but also on improving overall functioning and well-being. I integrate a variety of strategies, including: Supportive psychotherapy Cognitive-behavioral principles Lifestyle and behavioral interventions Education about medications and non-pharmacological options Strength-based, solution-focused techniques Clients often tell me they feel comfortable, heard, and understood in sessions. My goal is to create a safe space where you can talk openly, gain clarity, and feel empowered in your mental-health journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My practice focuses on psychiatric consultation and medication management, with supportive guidance built into every visit. Sessions are structured, clear, and collaborative so you always know what to expect. During the initial consultation, I take time to understand your concerns, symptoms, medical history, past treatment experiences, lifestyle factors, and goals. This helps me form an accurate diagnostic picture and determine whether medication, lifestyle adjustments, or further evaluation is appropriate. If medication may be helpful, I explain your options thoroughly—how each medication works, expected benefits, possible side effects, and what the treatment process looks like. I believe in shared decision-making, so you will always have a voice in choosing what feels right for you. Follow-up visits focus on your progress and how well the treatment is working. We review changes in symptoms, mood, sleep, attention, and daily functioning. I monitor for any side effects, adjust dosages when needed, and ensure the plan stays safe and effective. While I do not provide long-term talk therapy, my sessions include brief supportive counseling, psychoeducation, and practical strategies when appropriate. My role is to help stabilize symptoms, optimize medication response, and support your overall mental well-being. My approach is warm, patient-centered, and grounded in listening. You can expect a safe, respectful space where your concerns are taken seriously and your treatment plan is tailored to your individual needs.
