I've been a patient of Dr. Kumar for quite a few years now. Dr. Kumar is kind, patient, and understanding.

Dr. Kumar was very friendly and helpful and, most importantly, not dismissive of my thoughts and notions.

Dr Kumar is generally very attentive and caring, though she can seem rushed at times.
My visit was great. Its been a long time since I seen her.
She was very thorough and answered all of my questions.
She was very courteous and professional! A delight!

The fellow that saw me today was super compassionate and asked all the right questions. She and Dr. Kumar both answered all of my questions. I also like that I arrived 20 minutes early and was seen almost right away.
My visit with Dr. Kumar was great. She is very efficient while also listening well and asking all the right questions. She never belittled my pain and shared her thought process as she asked questions. The check-in times at GW are a lot longer during COVID (many people there to get COVID tests), so I suggest arriving more than 15 minutes early. They were very kind and seem to be doing their best, but they also seem very short-staffed.

Seemed very competent and made me feel that she can take care of my needs, that she will be be there to make sure that I am ok.

Not blatantly disrespectful, not super friendly but an overall unprofessional vibe. Dr entered without knocking or introducing herself, listened pretty well but cut me off several times, obvious she was rushing.
This was my first appointment with Dr. Kumar and I’m extremely happy for having chosen her to be my gastroenterologist. She takes time to explain everything, listen carefully to everything you have to say, great bedside manner.

Good experience overall. Caring doctor and staff
Spent less than 5 mins with her
The resident with Dr. Kumar was great! I felt like Dr. Kumar worked as a team with the resident. I was asked to come in an hour earlier than my appointment time, which was fine but more heads up would have been preferred.
Dr. Kumar was friendly enough but I felt the appointment (first time visit - consultation) was rushed. She examined me asked me a variety of questions and ordered some labs which was great to hopefully get a better idea of any internal GI related issues. My biggest issue is when you have a doctors visit and its rushed. I do not think its fair the the patient. Also, I was asked to come in much earlier than my original appointment time. I called the number that reached out to me about coming in early to confirm the address and the representative I spoke to was rude to me and not helpful at all. I believe she mentioned she was with the call center and working from home but that's not an excuse. I made my way to the address came in early as requested but I still waited until my appointment time to be seen. If a patient is asked to come in early then please endevour to see them earlier than their original appointment time.
Quick and efficient but thorough

The initial wait time was reasonable, and the doctor was courteous and capable. But things went badly after that. My next step was to wait in the waiting area to meet with someone to scheduke my procedure, but noone ever called me. After I waited a long time I asked the office staff for help and they determined that the scheduling person was out and they did not know where she was. They told me to leave and that someone would call to schedule the procedure. I am still waiting for a call.
I had to wait an hour for her to get in which was frustrating because I purposefully picked the first appointment so I could get to work at a reasonable time... When she did get there she felt rushed and I had to clarify details of my health history multiple times.
Dr. Kumar was very attentive to my needs, she listened carefully, and provided me with an excellent plan to restore my health. This was a very good experience.
