Dr. Anita Manns is a Child and Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner proficient in the art and science of medication management, psychotherapy, and physical assessment. I am passionate about optimizing your mental health needs to improve your overall health and mental wellness. With 22 years of experience working with vulnerable patient populations, I am ready to meet your mental health needs with compassion and understanding using an evidence-based approach.
I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Oakland University, a Post-Master's Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the University of Michigan, and a Master’s in Adult Primary Care Nursing from Wayne State University. As a dual-certified nurse practitioner, my experience includes Internal Medicine, GI, Correctional Health, and Women’s Health. My focus includes primary care management and mental health management of conditions such as Depression, Schizophrenia, Psychosis, Anxiety, Gender Dysphoria, as well as addressing the unique challenges faced by the LGBTQIA community.

We understand that patients find themselves in difficult or frustrating situations and they need someone to listen to, which is why we understand and respect our patients' wishes and point of view.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
ONCE YOU SCHEDULE A VISIT YOU MUST COMPLETE THE NEW PATIENT PSYCHIATRIC INTAKE PACKET WITHIN 24 HOURS OF SCHEDULING OR YOUR VISIT WILL BE CANCELLED.
