Dr. Anjelica?Maranan grew up in Streamwood, IL. What she loved most was the community of neighborhood friends that surrounded her. “We would find any opportunity to do anything active together. I spent every summer with my friends, and we did everything from bike riding everywhere, to swimming at the pool, to working out at the gym or outside together, or hanging out at the driving range.” Inspired by her aunt, who is a beloved pediatrician in her community, Dr. Anjelica always knew she wanted to become a doctor and provide high-quality, compassionate care to those in need. Being a high school and collegiate athlete, she was initially drawn to sports medicine. After finishing a degree in kinesiology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, she was conflicted about pursuing traditional medical school. It wasn’t until she worked in a chiropractic office that she realized the beauty of preventative care and what that meant for long-term health. What patients appreciate most about Dr. Anjelica is her compassion and warmth, and the way she treats each one of them as individuals, advocating for them and going the extra mile to find the root cause of their symptoms and reach their health & wellness goals. Dr. Anjelica defines wellness as the ability to live without physical and mental restrictions. She maintains her overall wellness by lifting weights at the gym, playing golf, dancing, and most importantly, spending time with her young children and husband.
