About Dr. Anju Budhwani
I am Dr. Pernia Latif, board certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine, and I welcome you to my practice, Connect Primary Care, in Houston, TX.
My focus is to provide meaningful, high-quality health care and foster long-term relationships with my patients.
I created Connect Primary Care after working at large ?corporate medicine? practices where patients are just ?numbers? and sometimes even doctors are treated the same. My goal is to put people over profits and mend the broken doctor-patient relationship.
I finished Medical School at Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, earning my Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. I then moved to the U.S., completing a three-year Internal Medicine Residency in Minneapolis, MN. I have ten years of work experience, first in Minnesota and now in Houston, TX. I have been certified in Obesity Medicine since 2017.
ABOUT ME
When not at work, I am a wife and busy mom of two rambunctious boys! I've become a foodie since moving to Houston, with Thai cuisine as my favorite. I also take tennis lessons for physical and mental fitness. As a family, we love to travel; my favorite vacation spot is Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

I visited Dr. Budhwani for some cough syrup and was asked to conduct a "small test" for additional infections. Three weeks later, I received a bill from a laboratory for (omitted). This particular office failed to inform me of any additional fees that I would incur. Very bad business practice.

When was they last time your doctor thanked you for visiting? De Budhwani did just that at the conclusion of my visit. She was attentive, thorough and caring. She also has a great of humor.. I finally have met a doctor who I can relate for my medical needs. The staff was very friendly and polite, but the doctor was the cherry on top.
