What is your typical process for working with clients?
Initial Assessment:
The first session is focused on gathering information about the client's medical history, recent laboratory results, current symptoms, and psychosocial background. This helps me understand the client's unique needs and develop a suitable treatment plan.
I work collaboratively with the client/family to set realistic and achievable goals for treatment plans that align with the individual’s values and preferences.
If medication is needed, as a part of the treatment plan, medication teaching will be provided, including potential side effects, how to take it properly and laboratory test if needed. I also check individual response to medications and adjust as needed.
While I do not provide traditional talk therapy as a PMHNP-BC, I incorporate therapeutic techniques into my practice. This may include cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness techniques, and psychoeducation to help clients manage their symptoms and improve their overall well-being.
Regular Follow-up:
I schedule regular follow-up appointments to monitor each client's progress, adjust the treatment plan as needed, and provide ongoing support.
If additional services are needed, such as therapy or specialized care, I provide referrals to other healthcare providers and collaborate with them to ensure comprehensive, and holistic care.

I require 24 hours' notice for appointment cancellations. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice will be subject to a cancellation fee.
