What should a new client know about working with you?

When working with me, you can expect a collaborative, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment. I tailor my approach to each person’s unique needs, integrating evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic therapy. I have extensive experience working with young adults, the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals with autism. My specialties include anxiety, depression, ADHD, sleep disorders, and mood disorders. I often explain to clients that anxiety and depression are closely linked, affecting both the mind and body. By addressing the root causes and creating an individualized treatment plan, we can work together to build lasting change. Whether through therapy, medication management, or a combination of both, I empower my clients to take an active role in their mental health journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work together will begin with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to better understand your experiences, challenges, and goals. From there, we’ll discuss treatment options and develop a personalized plan that aligns with your needs. If medication is part of your treatment, I will ensure you feel informed and comfortable with the process. Sessions will focus on building coping strategies, improving emotional regulation, and fostering self-awareness. I believe therapy is like a gym for the brain—an ongoing practice that strengthens mental and emotional well-being. For my own self-care, I find balance through exercise and movement, whether it’s an intense workout or a simple walk outside. On days when I need to recharge, I unwind with true crime documentaries—one method is obviously healthier than the other, but both serve their purpose! My goal is to help clients discover what works best for them so they can care for themselves in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.
