Wonderful first visit. Understanding, compassionate and engaging.
Very pleasant. Smooth transition from beginning to end.
I moved here 4 months ago and had not established a new doctor yet when I had a crisis. She was extremely knowledge on the kinds of medications and side effects and what would be best for me and we found an immediate solution. Such a relief.
Dr. Cox is by far the best psychiatrist I have seen. She has put me on the best medication regimen that I have ever been on. She is very knowledgeable kind and caring. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a new doctor.
In our appointment that was supposed to be just a medication consult, Dr. Cox managed to convey several prejudices and attitudes that I found pretty darn offensive. She compared marijuana to bath salts and meth, suggested that drinking makes girls more responsible for their sexual assault, connected "America's border problems" to drugs, and told me an intelligent person would not be making the choices I have been. I left the appointment furious. There are certainly psychiatrists out there with better bedside manners--try one of them first!
Dr. Cox is a nice person but I don't like the fact that she doesn't take enough time with me to explain to her what is going on with me. If I am in the consultation with her Five minutes is a lot. All other psychiatrist I had before dedicate more time to patients and listen they don't get rid of you in five minutes or less. Anyways things are not going to change so if at my next Appointment the same thing happens I will discontinue this medical group services and look for someone else who really dedicate time to patients.
I've never felt so relief talking to someone about what I'm going through. She was so understanding and made everything so comfortable . Definitely would recomend Anne Cox !!!!
This was my first time seeing Dr. Cox. I've struggled finding a doctor I really could connect with & I had no trouble connecting with her. She put me at ease & validated the way I was feeling. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who's had trouble connecting with a doctor in the past, or wants to find someone down to earth. I'll be back.
Dr. Cox is very friendly and it is easy to get an appointment with her. However, she is at least 15 minutes late every morning and has been closer to 30 minutes late every time. Then she rushes through her appointments to try and catch up. Because of this, she is not very thorough and not good at answering questions. If you know what you need, she would be a good doctor. Otherwise, I would definitely look elsewhere.
Dr. Cox was efficient and thorough.
I have seen Dr. Cox twice now and she's fantastic. Her friendly demeanor and sense of humor put you at ease right away. She took the time to listen to me and asked all the right questions to help fill in the gaps on the things I missed. She seems to genuinely care about her patients and takes the time to work with you on finding a solution that best suits you as an individual. I recently moved down south, so finding new (good) doctors can be a struggle. But I'm very happy I found her, and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a psychiatrist that's both highly experienced and a joy to be around.
She is amazing, so down to earth and understanding. It's always difficult for me, to find the right doctor when it comes to mental health and her easy going manner combined with her midwest attitude was the perfect combination in making me feel comfortable and welcome. I love her attitude on, 'everyone being a work in progress' and I am so so grateful for finding her.
Doctor is great, but zocdoc is not. Got zocdoc confirmation of appt on email, but office didn't have it on their books. Office also didn't have the intake paperwork from zocdoc the last time. Luckily, doctor had a cancellation and worked me in. No more zocdoc for me.
Dr. Cox was a great Psychiatrist. However she suggested that I receive counseling from Rafael J. Cortina. I would like to review him as he was personally recommended by her. I contacted Rafael Cortina through email to cancel my upcoming and future appointments. He didn't understand why and asked if it was because I had binge-drank recently. I took offense because I don't feel I should be judged by my therapist,, let alone accused of cutting off communication to him because I was a defective person. He then proceeded to provoke me when I called him on this. He is at least 10-15 minutes late to every single appointment. The past few times, I would be leaving for the office and I was told my appointment would be rescheduled 45 minutes later. The last contact that I had with him was me asking him regarding some advice he gave me about being passive in a certain situation. He refused to answer why he provided this advice even though he was willing to provoke me further. He has proven himself extremely immature, and will turn around and judge you regarding information that you provide him. I have never felt so betrayed by a therapist, let alone a person that I have gone in week after week and expressed myself truthfully to. I would be wary of talking to him, expecting him not to judge you or being a decent person in any way. I sincerely wonder why there are people like this trying to "help" people in this field. He reflects very poorly on Crownview Medical Group.
Absolutely excellent psychiatrist. Kind, great listener, patient and with rare common sense and a sense of humor. HIGHLY recommend.
I expected her to be more helpful.I wont have Ins until July1 and was hoping for some type of reduction. Office staff was not great. I needed to go because I needed a prescription for antidepressants.I waited awhile and was only in her office for 10 min.
My visit with Dr. Anne Cox was great.. Her office is a darling little cottage that has been turned into an office. Although her office is all the way over in Coronado, it is very easily accessible, and has plenty of parking. I had to fill out all the first time patient paperwork, but just as soon as I handed the paperwork to the receptionist, the Doctor herself called me back. She has a very pleasant bedside manner and seemed like a very easy going person. She was easy to talk to and really seemed to be listening to what I had to say, and right off the bat was able to access my situation and give me some very sound advice. It sounds like she is a fairly new Doctor here and is trying to build her patient base, having just recently relocated to Southern California. I would recommend her to family, (in fact, I already have.) and I definitely will be back.
She was warm and welcoming and very cheerful! Such a delighted way to be greeted. A lot of information was gathered back and forth and immediately our rapore was very comfortable. We decided before the end of the consultation that I would become her patient. I am very hopeful about the progress that she and I can make together.
She is very nice.
