Dr. Itteera is double board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in General Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry. Dr. Itteera earned her medical degree from Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences in India. She did her General Psychiatry residency program at Creedmoor Psychiatric Center, affiliated with Columbia University medical center/ New York Presbyterian Hospital. Followed by a fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at Zucker Hillside Hospital/Northwell Health System. Dr. Itteera is professionally affiliated with the American Psychiatric Association. She is also a member of Clinical TMS society and provides TMS therapy to patients suffering from depression. Dr. Itteera currently works as the medical director of Hillside TMS as well as having her own private practice of eighteen years. She has extensive experience treating a variety of psychiatric conditions using a comprehensive approach with medication management, psychotherapy, and neuromodulation, such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation. She is affiliated with Northwell Health System.

Over the telephone when I requested a video call:
I didn’t like the doctor’s demanding tone, lack of awareness that I had already sent her documents, and her desire that I pursue and provide all previous care document; the most I have ever done with other doctors is sign a release of information form. When I mentioned the release of information form, she responded that she ‘does not have the staff to chase down documentation (not an actual quote).’ Strange, because my other providers have done this, even when they had a single person practice. Demanding tone, was not prepared, and lacked needed staff. What would happen should I require to connect the the doctor while not in an appointment? I’m disappointed. I would pursue other options.

Horrible stay away and I never send the doctor just her rude nurse practitioner secretary. No empathy whatsoever and I feel sorry for anybody who goes to this office for mental health. I was told on my telehealth appointment after 15 minutes that I sound fine, what a joke.
