About Anthony Johnson
Anthony Johnson is a licensed Physician Assistant living in Sandy. He began his career in dermatology in 2015 as a Medical Assistant at the University of Utah, where he developed a passion for delivering high-quality skincare to all patients. Raised in Cottonwood Heights, Anthony attended Juan Diego Catholic High School and the University of Utah, earning his Bachelor of Science. He was also a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success during his time there. Anthony furthered his education at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon, where he earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies.
He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the Utah Academy of Physician Assistants, and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Outside of work, Anthony enjoys spending time outdoors, especially skiing, as well as playing basketball, board games, reading, watching sports, and spending time with his dog. Before joining Bahr Dermatology, he volunteered at the Maliheh Free Clinic and remains passionate about giving back to the community.

We were asked to arrive 15 minutes early but weren’t seen until about 45 minutes after our appointment time, which was frustrating. The PA-C was kind, but not very informative unless I specifically asked questions. I left thinking of several questions that could have easily been addressed during the appointment without me having to prompt everything.
What was most disappointing was the prescription process. He told us the pharmacy takes a long time, but when I went an hour and a half later, the prescription hadn’t even been called in. The office said he was busy and might get to it later, which felt unprofessional to openly blame the pharmacy for being slow or taking their time when he hadn’t even called it in. Overall our needs were met, but the experience we had would make me hesitant to recommend this office.

I genuinely enjoyed it here. Was my first time as a new patient, and had no trouble booking a sooner appointment. The receptionist was helpful and friendly. And Doctor Anthony and his Medical Assistant were very helpful and friendly too. I can't thank them enough for helping me with my skin tag removal and general skincare concerns.
The building also has accesible parking which is a plus. I really recommend this place.

I was told to use the medication until I saw the PA again in 5 weeks. When I picked up the medication at the pharmacy the instructions read "apply to affected areas on scalp twice daily Monday - Friday. Take a break on weekends."
I had to call the office back to find out the provider wanted me to apply 6-8 drops twice a day and rub liquid into my scallp. The 6-8 drops will NOT cover ALL the affected scalp areas unless I add water/alcohol to the drops to make them spread easier. So I will spread them around with my fingers and hope spreading the liquid will make it cover more scalp areas.

The Dr was very personable and listened to my concerns. He talked me through what was going on and what steps we could take to resolve my issues. He asked me several times if I had any questions and took the time to answer those questions. Just a really good experience overall.

I felt like he really took his time looking at all my moles and concern areas and actually listening to me and taking me seriously which was super nice. I didn’t feel rushed which was a huge plus. He answered all my questions and made a plan for what I wanted in the future as well. Excellent bedside manner especially when I started feeling a bit a faint and dizzy when we went to take off a few of my moles. It made all the difference

This was my first experience with a dermatologist, I had no idea what to expect. The selling point for me was the ability to schedule an appointment within a weeks time rather than months out.
Anthony Johnson P.A. and medical assistant Corbin were exceptional at gathering information and listening to my concerns, as well as educating me and informing of my options. They were both friendly, professional, and efficient.
Front desk staff greeted me with a smile and knew exactly why I was there without an embarrassing inquisition.
