Antonis (“Tony”) is an established Dermatology Physician Assistant who has been with our practice since 2015 and thoroughly enjoys helping patients improve their skin. Tony was born and raised in Toms River, New Jersey as a first-generation American; he is fluent in the Greek-Cypriot language and has a strong cultural background. Like most teenagers, Tony suffered from acne as an adolescent. He received such thorough and personalized care from his hometown Dermatology Physician Assistant that he quickly realized he too wanted to help people in the same capacity. Since then, Tony had a passion to study medicine and join the medical field as a Dermatology Physician Assistant. Tony loves art and suggests that dermatology is like a form of abstract art, in that, skin conditions may present themselves very differently. Having the skill-set to identify and treat these conditions makes dermatology unique and rewarding. He attended Georgian Court University with an academic scholarship, where he graduated magna cum laude, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He completed a Medical Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies, cum laude, at Drexel University Elkins Park Campus (Formerly Salus University), located in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. Tony is nationally certified by the NCCPA and is licensed by the state of Texas to practice as a physician assistant. He is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants and Beta Beta Beta National Biological Honors Society. He is skilled and licensed to perform full skin exams, diagnose and treat all skin conditions and concerns. During his time off Tony enjoys challenging himself with high-intensity workout classes in Dallas, meditating, cooking, spending time with his dog and traveling. When he takes a short break from doing what he loves, he travels home to New Jersey, where he enjoys the company of relatives and eating home-cooked Mediterranean cuisine.
