“My experience was amazing, I felt genuinely heard, supported, and understood. I had a really poor experience with another provider before, so I was nervous to try again. But this psychologist completely changed that for me. It can take time to find someone who’s the right fit, and I’m so grateful I finally found them. I’d absolutely go back and highly recommend them to anyone looking for real understanding and care.”

“I was very comfortable with the session. I had always believed that seeing a Psychiatrist was for people with mental needs. Dr Aal was easy to talk to and seemed to be understanding of my needs. I will be following up with him and believe that my life will be improved. I was made aware of things in my life that needed attention. Dr Aai did not seem judgmental and offered a plan to give me positive help. ”

What should a new client know about working with you?

Mental illness can make even the most routine of tasks near impossible, and it’s often hard to find help when you need it. Mental health treatment is not just about getting you "back to normal". It should help bring more meaning, purpose and wellbeing into your life. Hello, my name is Dr. Ari Aal and I want to welcome you in this journey as we work together toward your goals. In a first meeting with my patients, I get to know them on an emotional level. From there we work together and create plans for what they need in order feel better quickly while also providing the necessary tools that will help change their lives long-term.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work together starts with an hour-long evaluation where we create a personalized treatment plan together. After that, we meet anywhere between once per week and once every 3 months to make adjustments. Follow up appointments are between 15 and 60 minutes.

Dr. Ari is very stoic but I could tell he was listening intently and I am looking forward to follow his clinical plan. He is knowledgeable but not overbearing like my previous psychiatrist.
Dr. Aal has been very helpful to me. He took over from my previous psychiatrist who retired, and continued my medication treatment in a seamless way. He also noticed my tremor and urged me to see a neurologist, who diagnosed my Parkinson's, so that was astute and helpful.
