About Dr. Ariel Nassim
Dr. Ariel Nassim is a board-certified internist and sports medicine specialist at Nassim Medical in Great Neck and Flushing, New York. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology, New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and pursued a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Drexel University.
An avid tennis and basketball player, Dr. Nassim uses his experience as an athlete to bring a more personalized approach to his practice. He treats every patient with respect and patience, working to return them to the activities they love as quickly as possible.
Dr. Nassim?s expertise in evidence-based medicine and the latest nonoperative orthopedic and musculoskeletal care has enabled him to care for athletes of all ages and skill levels, from high school students to professional and Olympic athletes. His experience spans a wide range of sports and competitive levels. He has cared for athletes at the U.S. Open Tennis Championships, NBA, Philadelphia Ballet, New York City Marathon, NCAA Lacrosse Championships, Collegiate Rugby Championships, and U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes at the USOPC training center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to name a few. Additionally, he served as Team Physician for TEAM USA at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, and for Maccabi USA at the 2017 Maccabiah Games in Israel. He was selected as Team Physician for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and currently serves the Brooklyn Nets organization as Team Physician for their G-League affiliate, the Long Island Nets.
His advanced training in musculoskeletal ultrasound allows him to diagnose and provide optimal care for patients with muscle, tendon, and joint disorders. Dr. Nassim was extremely nice. Asked questions about any pain I was feeling. Genuinely seemed kind and caring. Even the physician asst who assisted him was nice. Will definitely keep Dr. Nassim as my regular doctor. I’ve always struggled to find a doctor who cared about my concerns and overall gave you a positive vibe. The wait time was over an hr and the staff all apologized, doc included saying they had a rush of patients. But honestly they were all professional and kind so I didn’t really mind it. Plus Dr. Nassim didn’t even rush, he took his time, wrote down the necessary lab work I might need and assured me to see him if I had any aches and pains so we could look into it. Overall a great experience for me, minus the wait time but I had worse experiences with other doctors so this was refreshing to say the least.

Never had a primary care doctor, Dr.Nassim definitely made a amazing first impression. I have a series of issues going on and he was very attentive and wants to help me figure out what’s going on. I’m very glad with the first appointment. Wait was about 45 min, but it’s understandable. He will give you the time when it’s your turn. Also the nurse before I got to see the doctor was very nice as well.
