Getting to know Arielle Siniapkin

Are you new to therapy? Maybe you have been before but did not have the best experience. Are you feeling "stuck" in some area of your life? At times, many of us can feel trapped. Often, we may find ourselves in unfulfilling relationships, jobs we dislike, or routines that feel stagnant-wishing we could make changes but feeling incapable of doing so. I want to help you feel better. My psychotherapy approach is primarily psychodynamic, with elements of trauma-informed care, attachment theory, and mindfulness. I aim to work collaboratively with you because I believe you are the expert on your life experiences, and I value that information in structuring our work together. We will look closely at different areas of your life to better understand factors that are, and are not, supporting you. We will discuss the connection between your physical and emotional well-being. We might explore how attachment style is impacting your relationships. We will also work to identify patterns and make changes to what might feel stagnant or unsupportive. I offer personalized treatment when prescribing medications for adults. Treatment recommendations are based on a complete history, evaluations, questionnaires, targeted laboratory testing, and patient preference. I provide evidence-based pharmaceutical treatments alongside complementary mind-body medicine to promote health and well-being. The most effective treatment approach usually involves a combination of medication and psychotherapy. For those already engaged in psychotherapy, I offer medication management sessions alone. If you are new to considering different treatment options, it is normal to have questions about the initial steps. The first stage of treatment is a psychiatric evaluation. I hold a Master's degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from New York University. I also earned my Bachelor's degrees from Albany Medical College and New York University.
