Hi, I'm Arlyne Katz. I am an ANCC Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Naturopathic/Integrative Medicine Doctor. I hold a Master's in Psychiatric Nursing from City University of New York, Hunter College, and a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from New Eden School of Natural Health & Herbal. I practice mind-body medicine by treating the whole person through conventional and complementary methods, utilizing pharmaceuticals, supplements, and therapeutic techniques. I am excited you have taken a step closer to exploring the many options available to you so that you can live your very best YOU.
As a former critical care ICU nurse working closely with acutely ill patients in a busy level 1 trauma hospital, as well as with patients in their homes needing extra medical care, I have seen that as great as modern medicine is at saving lives, it does have its limitations. I came to this realization not only as a healthcare professional with over a decade of experience but also as a private healthcare consumer myself. It was during this "aha" moment that I decided to change the course of my career to make the most impact in people's lives.
I use a whole-person centered approach that starts with a personalized strategy to address your physical, emotional, mental, social, spiritual, and environmental influences that may be affecting your health and wellness. The therapeutic interventions I use include evidence-based approaches to integrate the best treatment for you, whether conventional, complementary, or both.
I enjoy educating and empowering my patients to take self-responsibility for their own health and well-being, believing that healing is always possible, even when curing is not.
