Dr. Armand Newman is a board-certified dermatologist who earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). He completed his dermatology training at the renowned Cook County Health, one of the largest hospitals in the United States, with a diverse patient population that exposed him to a wide range of ethnic skin types. Dr. Newman has been practicing dermatology for 40 years, with special expertise in treating African American, Hispanic, Middle Eastern, Asian, and White skin.
Dr. Newman takes a comprehensive approach to each patient, understanding the importance of achieving clear, beautiful, and healthy skin. He has extensive experience in dermatology, skin surgery, and laser treatments over four decades. These cutting-edge lasers are safe and effective on darker skin tones. Everyone was very professional and efficient. Once my forms were filled out, I was called in to see the Doctor. She communicated everything in advance and then asked me specific questions related to my visit. Once we finished, she began her exam. While examining me, Dr. Newman shared her findings and the best course of treatment.
I was thankful for a comprehensive exam and the way both the Doctor and the nurse treated me, explaining the following steps and the process.

Office was unaware of appointment when I showed up. Then they had to call the doctor and told me I wouldn't be seen until at least 45 minutes after my appointment time. I had to leave because of work. The staff was very very nice (and I cannot comment on the Doctor's efficacy) but with my work schedule I need to be seen by doctors / practices that are more on top of their schedules and on time.

I’m very disappointed with my recent experience. I had booked an appointment with a specific doctor, but was seen by someone else without any prior notice or explanation. This should not happen — if a patient books a consultation with a particular doctor, that doctor should be the one to attend the appointment, not a substitute.
The consultation itself lasted less than 10 minutes. The doctor only prescribed one ointment and didn’t explain the condition clearly or advise on next steps. For the amount charged, I expected a thorough consultation and expert guidance, especially from a specialist.
Overall, the experience felt rushed. I would not recommend to anyone.

Both Dr’s Newman are amazing!!! I have never in my life had a better experience at a Dr.’s office. They are knowledgeable, comforting and caring. Since I have an HMO, my insurance is not accepted, however, I have no problem paying out of pocket for the exceptional care. Best father, daughter duo out. Highly recommend!

Front desk girl was rude, dr tried to charge me a crazy amount of money to PRESCRIBE a medicaiton...that is not the cost of the medication it was simply to PRESCRIBE me the medication on top of an office fee visit. No one told me this on the phone even though they knew exactly what i was coming in for. Girls in the office were cursing and joking around loudly. Worst time i've ever had at a dermatologist. i demanded a refund and left.
