Then you spend the rest of the appointment trying to convince them that you are actually ill. It's like you're put in a position where you have to justify having made the appointment in the first place. I believe therapy should be the exact opposite of this. Therapy should make people feel validated, feel heard. You deserve a place to feel understood, and I would be honored to provide this to you. Over the past 15 years, I have provided services to adolescents, adults, and families facing many different life challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, sexual behavior problems (including youth who have engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior), drug and alcohol issues, life phase difficulties, relationship issues, youth conduct issues, and school problems. Whatever brings you here, I believe that therapy should be individually tailored to meet your unique needs. You will be given the freedom to work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and you will have the final say in how you want your therapy to progress.
