About Ashlee Paknis

Ashlee is a board-certified physician assistant in the state of Florida. She earned her Master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Rutgers University. Ashlee graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s of science degree in biology from Caldwell University, where she also played 4 years of collegiate soccer.
As a practicing PA-C in dermatology for 3 years, Ashlee can diagnose and treat a large array of skin conditions. She has a special interest in patients with acne and atopic dermatitis, as well as the long term management that comes with both conditions. Ashlee is proficient in full body skin cancer screenings and enjoys establishing a long term rapport with her patients. She also has a passion for cosmetic procedures and is trained and certified in Botox and various fillers.

Dr. Paknis was great. She was very prompt with her diagnosis and explained the symptoms as well as how to use the medication. Her assistant was very helpful as well. I waited next to no time between arriving and being seen and was in and out of the office within an hour.
I highly recommend anyone needing a Dermatologist to see Dr. Paknis!

Unfortunately I can’t rate the doctor as I wasn’t seen by her. The office knew of my appointment, I confirmed multiple times as well as of the morning of and after arriving early for my appointment, signing in, and giving them my insurance and ID, then told, they do not accept my insurance. Another waste of time when I did my part, being VERY clear which insurance I had when booking.
The front desk woman’s response “oh, Zocdoc says we take every insurance, but we don’t.”
Someone please fix this. Don’t waste people’s time that NEED to see a medical professional.

Good experience overall, but I did have to wait a little longer than anticipated. My appt was at 2 pm. I arrived at 1:45 pm and wasn’t seen until 2:30 pm.

This appointment was so quick and the dermatologist was so helpful & kind. I was seen within 15 minutes and out of there a half hour after I booked my appointment. Will definitely be coming back.

I was told by the doctor that a biopsy would be taken of a spot on my face and that within a week I would receive the results and an appoint. would be made to remove the spot. I noticed my fingers were covered with blood after touching my face. I went back to the front desk and the doctor's assistant came to the desk, not the doctor and took me back to the examining room. She placed pressure to the area were the biopsy was taken, and placed several gauze pads and tape on the area and told me that I should place aquaphor ointment on the area several hours after I left. I followed her instructions. The area where there had been a spot is now infected. There is no longer a spot. She removed the entire
spot when doing the biopsy. I received a call the next morning from the doctor"s office that the biopsy was benign and I did not need to return. I will seek care for the infection from an urgent care center. I am very disappointed with the treatment I received by this doctor.

Provider experience was all incredibly positive. Wait time before was 45 mins. Appt time for something semi-complicated was 15 mins which is amazing. Considering you can’t see a dermatologist in Chicago without a 2 month lead time, this experience was phenomenal. Although I likely won’t bc I’m from out of town, I 100% would see her for f/u if I were local.
