I am a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner licensed to provide mental health care across the lifespan. I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After working 8 years as a nurse, I received my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license after graduating from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2023.
I specialize in a range of mental health concerns including mood disorders, depression, anxiety, and ADHD. I seek to deliver trauma-informed care to all patients and understand that treatment is a multi-step process that often involves different modalities of treatment options including medications, therapy, and lifestyle factors.
I seek to deliver evidence-based care to clients with a wide range of mental health concerns. I believe as a provider, the most effective way to deliver optimal care is to focus on the primary needs and concerns of the client. Together, we can develop a plan that further improves the quality of life for you as the patient.
What should a new client know about working with you?
As a provider, I strive to learn about my patients as a whole and take a holistic approach to treatment. Along with medication management, I engage clients in brief psychotherapy and discuss lifestyle changes that can also make a significant difference in overall wellbeing. I aspire to create a space that is welcoming and inclusive, as I know that discussing mental health concerns can often be uncomfortable and deeply personal. It is my hope that together, we can establish a plan that improves your overall quality of life and allows you to be your best self.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I believe that all clients deserve to receive person-centered, empathetic care that meets them wherever they may be in their lives. With each patient, I begin with a comprehensive psychiatric assessment which involves reviewing current symptoms and gathering additional information including past psychiatric, medical, social and family histories. I prefer to meet with clients in person for an initial consultation, but if appropriate moving forward, virtual appointments are available. Together, we will establish a treatment plan that often includes medication, along with possible referrals, labs, or other additional resources.
