The office itself is clean and basic - nothing negative.
One concerning issue for me was the mandatory requirement to place a credit card on file. I find this troubling, as patients should be permitted to decline having their card on file which is a risk most shouldn’t be forced in to which was uncomfortable. And I don’t feel front-desk staff should need to explain cybersecurity policies to justify it.
The medical assistant was professional but very to the point, with little warmth. Not a deal-breaker, but noticeable.
PA Ashley was pleasant, attentive, and more thorough than some dermatology providers I’ve seen. She listened, explained more than others, and performed a body scan while focusing on my face, scalp, a spot on my shoulder, and a few other areas of concern. That said, multiple areas were missed, including a specific spot on my forehead that I clearly pointed out but was not treated, along with several other areas that were blown off.
What also concerned me also was the lack of post-visit and post-procedure care instructions**. After biopsies were taken, I received no guidance on bandage care, wound care, cleansing, or general skin care recommendations. This was especially concerning given that one biopsy was on a visible area like the forehead. I don’t want to call back and you can tell they don’t like the calls either.
Additionally, during the body scan, no magnifying tool or dermatoscope was used, which reduced my confidence in the thoroughness of the exam, particularly given the number of areas that were missed.
On the positive side, my biggest satisfaction was finally being prescribed medication for my face and scalp, that after researching on my own, I now realize is something I probably should have been given years ago. That aspect of the visit was worthwhile and appreciated.
Follow-up scheduled. Overall, the care was adequate, but there is clear room for improvement i in thoroughness, post-visit guidance, and front-end communication.

I had inquired about having a Popliteal cyst , left removed from my calf. The dermatologist suggested I see a orthopedic surgeon to see if they could do anything because the cyst appeared too deep and she advised me that I should get copy of ultrasound and show to you maybe I need more test

My check up lasted maybe 10 minutes max. It felt rushed. She didn't address my concerns or really take them seriously. Didn't offer any recommendations until I asked. Said she would provide a prescription for a face cream but never did. Basically seemed like she didn't care because my visit wasn't a medical concern. The only good thing about my visit was the friendly receptionist. Otherwise, I wouldn't go back.
