What should a new client know about working with you?

Patients working with me can expect a supportive, judgment-free, and collaborative experience focused on helping them feel better and function better in daily life. I take time to listen carefully, understand the full picture, and develop a treatment plan that is individualized to each patient’s needs and goals. My style is warm, practical, and solutions-focused. I believe in open communication and want patients to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing concerns, and being actively involved in treatment decisions. I strive to create a space where patients feel understood, respected, and empowered throughout the process. During visits, I may incorporate supportive therapy techniques, psychoeducation, coping strategies, and medication management when appropriate. My goal is not only symptom relief, but also helping patients build long-term tools for improved balance, confidence, and overall well-being. Whether someone is seeking clarity around ADHD symptoms, relief from anxiety or depression, or support through stress and life transitions, I aim to make care approachable, thorough, and meaningful from the very first visit.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical visit is structured, supportive, and focused on understanding both current symptoms and the bigger picture of your overall mental health. During an initial evaluation, we will review your main concerns, symptom history, medical history, past treatment experiences, lifestyle factors, stressors, sleep patterns, and goals for care. This helps create an accurate diagnosis and individualized treatment plan rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. For patients seeking evaluation for concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood changes, or difficulty coping with stress, I use a thorough and evidence-based diagnostic process that may include screening tools, discussion of symptom patterns, and review of how symptoms impact work, relationships, and daily functioning. Follow-up visits focus on progress, response to treatment, medication effectiveness when prescribed, side effects, and any new concerns that arise. Adjustments are made collaboratively based on how you are feeling and functioning. While I do not provide traditional weekly psychotherapy sessions, I do incorporate supportive therapy techniques during appointments, including coping strategies, psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, and practical tools to help manage symptoms between visits. My goal is for each session to feel productive, personalized, and helpful.
