Ashley Kippins, MS, CCC-SLP, is a passionate and dedicated pediatric speech-language pathologist who fosters communication through connection. Prior to becoming a speech-language pathologist (SLP), Ashley gained more than ten years of experience working with children in roles such as mentor and instructional aide. Throughout her clinical practica and professional career, she has provided evaluation and treatment to diverse populations in public and nonpublic schools for ages 3–21, inpatient rehabilitation with adults, and private clinic settings (ages birth–21). Ashley developed a passion for speech and language telepractice, as it affords children the opportunity to engage in therapy in their natural environments, allows caregivers and other family members to participate regularly, and eliminates the caregiver's burden of traveling to and from appointments. She is an advocate and ally for neurodiversity and people with disabilities. Ashley earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Northeastern University and a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the MGH Institute of Health Professions (MGH IHP), founded by Massachusetts General Hospital. She delivered the MGH IHP commencement address and was bestowed the Julie Atwood Award for Excellence-given to the speech-language pathologist who "possesses a strong base of academic knowledge, applies theory to delivering clinical service in an exemplary manner, and demonstrates the highest values and ethics, the ability to apply research findings to clinical practice, and the potential for professional excellence and leadership." She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice in California, North Carolina, and the District of Columbia.
