No concern is too small. My work centers on supporting underserved communities, including women, older adults, LGBTQIA individuals, people of color, and those with disabilities. With experience in general mental health, trauma, geriatrics, and deprescribing benzodiazepines, I approach each person with empathy and respect. I prioritize clear, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences with me as an empathetic partner. If we’re working through something challenging, you can expect me to be calm and patient. I have worked in the helping fields my entire professional life- from social work to psychiatric nursing to becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner. I am a doctorally prepared psychiatric nurse practitioner with a master's in nursing education and undergraduate degrees in both social work and nursing. I see this as a partnership. Together, we’ll set goals that matter to you—whether that’s improving relationships, building self-esteem, or pursuing personal growth. As you gain new insights, we’ll adapt your plan to stay meaningful and supportive as you move toward where you want to be. Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to seek care. We will review your medical history, concerns, and goals and create a plan that works for you.
