Ms. Ashley Steinberger, a distinguished and board-certified adult psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner, specializes in working with adults who experience anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, and mood disorders. She provides compassionate mental health care through virtual consultations at her private practice.
Ms. Steinberger believes in listening to each individual and curating a partnership to maintain and improve lifelong health. Patients trust her expertise because she continuously delivers top-quality care that leads to positive and lasting health outcomes.
Ms. Steinberger acquired her master's degree in psychiatric and mental health nursing from Union University. Her clinical expertise encompasses psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and psychotherapy for various mental health conditions.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I work with clients using an empathetic approach and take time to listen to my patient's needs. It's important for my clients to feel respected during their session in a non-judgmental and therapeutic approach.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
The first session typically lasts longer (around 60 minutes) and focuses on getting to know you in depth. During this time, we’ll discuss:
Your current symptoms and concerns
Medical and psychiatric history
Family background
Social, academic, or work life
Any past treatments or medications
This session is a chance for both of us to understand your needs and determine a working diagnosis, though diagnoses can evolve over time with more information.
I may also recommend lab work or collaborate with your primary care provider if medical issues might be contributing to psychiatric symptoms. I also incorporate talk therapy into our sessions.

My experience with Ashley has been great. It was very pleasant to find a time and to get treatment in a timely manner. Typically I'm used to a long back and forth that takes even longer to finally sit down for the first session.
Ashley helped me understand things in simple terms that previously was difficult for me to describe. We started a treatment plan after the first session and the flexibility on time and availability for the next sessions have made it very easy for me to want to go back.
