What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider?
I love getting to know my patients. Not only talking about their health but getting to know them personally is what I enjoy most about my job. Having patients feel comfortable during their appointments is very important to me.
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
Whether it be physical or mental health, I believe in listening to the patient and working with them to come up with a safe treatment plan for their diagnosis. I do not believe in a "one size fits all" form of healthcare. Discussing and offering different options of care at times is important so the patient can make an informed decision about what may work best for them.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I have been a nurse practitioner since 2017, after earning my Doctor of Nursing from the State University of New York, Buffalo. Before that, I was a critical care nurse for five years. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, camping, hiking, and riding my motorcycle. I will never say no to ice cream or pasta.
