Dr. Ashok Yerramsetti wants patients and families to fully understand their diagnosis and how medication management can be used as a tool to improve their quality of life. He believes the best clinicians promote their patients' mental and physical health. Dr. Yerramsetti pursued a career in mental health care after noticing the need for it in patients during medical school rotations. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine, completed his residency in Psychiatry, and a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the same institution. Outside of work, Dr. Yerramsetti has two “out-of-this-world” cats, Chewie and Galileo, who share his enjoyment of Star Wars.

I was fortunate enough to be scheduled with Dr Yerramsetti, who has unequivocally changed my life for the better. Since our very first visit, he listened, showed empathy, gave assurance that help is in the way; and he followed through far beyond my expectations. I never had an experience with a doctor who took the time to listen the way he did, to explain every step in detail, and follow through on his plan and action. In a point in my life where I had to be as vulnerable as ever, Dr Y made the entire experience as comfortable and easy as any experience I’ve ever had. After many dead ends with previous psychiatry experiences, I’ve never felt this type of forward progress and this type of encouragement of being on a path to healing. I will forever be grateful for Dr Y and Mindpath health for how they’ve changed my life so positively.

I always enjoy my visits with Dr. Yerramsetti. He’s super friendly and makes me feel heard. I’ve had doctors in the past push me to make changes even when I’m feeling ok, but he doesn’t do that. He’s very respectful of me and my time. Would recommend him to anyone needing assistance.

Dr. Y is super thorough, and clearly really smart. I've been to two previous psychiatrists who both spent less than 10 minutes in their assessments and that didn't sit well with me. Dr. Y spent so much time, was diligent, and offered a really insightful perspective into my diagnosis. I would recommend him for sure.
