About Ashwin Kumar
Mr. Kumar (Ashwin) is energized by seeing patients benefit from new dermatologic treatments for common skin conditions such as acne and psoriasis that transform their skin vitality, overall health, quality of life, and self-confidence. He appreciates the variety of treatments, procedures, and exams that he performs each day as a member of the Peraza Dermatology Group team.
Originally from Portland, Oregon, Ashwin graduated from Syracuse University with a B.S. in Biology and received his M.P.A.S. from the Le Moyne College Physician Assistant Program in Syracuse, New York. Ashwin is also a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
A former sprinter for Syracuse University, Ashwin enjoys being outdoors and exploring hiking trails and nature in the serene, peaceful Upper Valley region. He enjoys spending time with his shih tzu puppy, Blaze, and watching and enjoying sports, especially anything connected to the Portland Trail Blazers or Syracuse Orange teams.

Ashwin Kumar did a fabulous job during my visit for a full-body mole check. There were several "spots" that I felt needed close inspection which he did and explained whether they were concerning or not. He fielded all of my questions and gave answers that were well thought out, clearly communicated and based in science. I never felt like he was rushed which is a rarity in today's medical system. I would not hesitate to return for another mole check or any dermatological condition.
