I am an experienced board-certified Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, as well as a Certified School Nurse with over 16 years of clinical experience.
At Family Behavioral Health Services, we understand your goals of seeking mental health treatment, and we provide supportive, individualized, and recovery-oriented mental health care, where your input matters, and you are part of the decision making, We guide you or your loved one towards stable mental health and independence.
We provide both Telehealth and in-person services depending on your individual needs.
We offer flexible evening and weekend appointments for working families to encourage access to timely care.
We accept Medicaid, Medicare, NJ Family Care and a host of other health insurance plans. We also offer reasonable cash pay rates for patients without insurance.
We serve children, adolescents, young adults, adults and the elderly and our services include but is not limited to:
Psychiatric Evaluations & Diagnosis of Major & Minor mental health/Behavioral disorders, Medication management, Psychotherapy, Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Co-occuring disorders resulting from Autism Spectrum Disorders. Support for children, adolescents & adults. We also provide trauma & adjustment disorders treatment, integrated psychiatric services, and collaborative care with both primary care and specialist providers. We provide resources and referrals when necessary for timely access to care outside of our scope of practice.

Please note that our practice does not prescribe controlled substances during an initial appointment. A comprehensive evaluation, including review of your medical history, prior treatment records, and, if necessary, additional assessments, is required before any decisions regarding controlled medications are made.
Our goal is to ensure safe, responsible, and appropriate treatment planning tailored to your individual needs. If controlled medications are determined to be clinically appropriate, they may be considered only after the initial evaluation and at the discretion of the provider.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
For any mental health condition you may be dealing with, I will first complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation guided by the Biopsychosocial framework that takes into consideration combined influence of essential factors on mental health and wellness. My assessment will enable me understand your problems, and plan on effective treatment strategies for your better mental health outcomes.
During the course of my initial psychiatric evaluation and follow-up appointment, I will determine if you will benefit from counseling, psychotherapy or talk therapy as part of your plan of care. If such determination is made, I will provide you with such services, as it is within my scope of practice.
