As evidence of his ability, Dr. Verdun was given the Teacher of the Year Award in 2015 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) pain clinic. Dr. Verdun treats patients with complex acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries. Treatment modalities include medication management, fluoroscopic and ultrasound guided interventional pain procedures, and alternative medicine modalities. Dr. Verdun has published journal articles on the delivery of interventional pain management and the management of potential complications. Dr. Verdun also has extensive experience in the use of Ketamine infusions for the treatment of acute pain, chronic pain, and depression. He has developed multiple ketamine infusion protocols for patients suffering from these conditions at WRNMMC. He has also given presentations at national conferences, hospitals, and clinics on ketamine and its use in pain and depression. Dr. Verdun is a Maryland native. He’s lived in the Maryland area since the 1980’s. He attended elementary school and junior high school in Maryland and attended St John’s College High School in Washington DC.
