“This was my first doctor appointment after relocating here from Phoenix AZ just 3 weeks prior. I was apprehensive because of my many medical issues including, but not limited to, chronic pain, systemic lupus, complex PTSD & chronic insomnia. I was concerned about how long it would take in getting the medical providers & support to which I had been accustomed in PHX. As we were living in rural McDonough, I did not want to drive 45 minutes to go to Emory University or other providers in metro ATL. I thought finding just the right care would be a long drawn out process, perhaps taking more than 30 days. However, Dr. Pinkerton & her staff were able to offer everything I needed during my first visit. She was kind, supportive, competent & knowledgeable. My daughter, also new to the area, was so impressed that she, too, will be making Dr. Pinkerton & Aylo her primary care providers.”

About Dr. Audris Pinkerton
Audris Pinkerton, MD attended Meharry Medical College School of Medicine – graduating with her medical degree in 2018. Post medical school, Dr. Pinkerton completed her medical Residency in 2022 at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County Health in Chicago, Illinois – where she specialized in Family Medicine. Dr. Pinkerton saw the various complications caused by uncontrolled health conditions and the toll they can have on someone at a very young age. It was through that experience that led her to a career in medicine. Dr. Pinkerton is most passionate about connecting with her patients and working with them so they can reach the results they desire. She enjoys creating long lasting relationships with them so she can educate and help her patients be their healthiest selves — while encouraging them to advocate for themselves on their journey to good health. Dr. Pinkerton is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is board-certified with the American Board of Family Medicine. In her free time, she enjoys shopping, traveling, and exploring the city.

Dr. Pinkerton was very personable and professional. She was easy to talk to, and let me know I was heard. My only qualm would be her roughness. It was enough that she noticed she caused me to bleed and apologized. I’ve had that procedure several times and have never been in pain days following; for that reason I will only entrust that specific procedure with a doctor that specializes in that appose to a General Doc. Overall I’d definitely see her for other things, ie. annual physical exam, but no to a pap smear ever again by her.
