Getting to know Austin Reed
I treat using a patient-centered approach where patients play an active role in managing their mental health. Mental health conditions can be effectively treated, and an optimal state of wellness can be achieved by establishing a therapeutic partnership in managing your care. By incorporating empowerment and psychoeducation, I provide you with the tools needed to effectively manage your mental health. I treat and manage all mental health disorders, including mood and anxiety disorders, adjustment disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, PTSD, and personality disorders. My clinical interests include working with the LGBTQIA population, those seeking treatment for the first time, healthcare professionals, first responders, and military populations.
Over the past twenty years, I have worked with mental health consumers as a case manager, psychiatric/mental health nurse, mental health advocate, and nurse practitioner. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cedar Crest College and my Master of Nursing, with a focus on psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner care across the lifespan, from Drexel University in Philadelphia. I have treated patients in private practice, mental health crisis centers, and forensic treatment centers.

Godsend, pure & simple. LifeStance so far has been a smooth pleasure to deal with in terms of billing, website, admin, logistics etc. And though I’ve only had 2 sessions so far, I’m deeply impressed with the quality of care that I’m receiving.
