“I can’t say enough wonderful things about this office and Dr. Shah! I’m usually not the best at following up to write a review but I was motivated to do so because my experience was so great: I was able to get an appointment quickly, I was checked-in efficiently, I waited for under 5 minutes to be called in in by the physician’s assistant, everyone in the office was professional and friendly, including Dr. Shah who has an excellent beside manner - so warm, upbeat, and engaged. 5 stars!”

About Dr. Avnee Shah
Dr. Avnee Shah graduated summa cum laude from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, and then earned her medical degree from Drexel College of Medicine. Dr. Shah completed an internship under the Department of Medicine at Crozer Chester Medical Center in Upland, PA. Her residency was at Emory University’s Department of Dermatology in Atlanta, Georgia, where she then served as dermatology chief resident.
Dr. Shah has won several distinctions including the Annual Award for Excellence in Dermatology, and membership in the A.O.A. Honor Society. Her research topics include psoriasis, squamous cell carcinoma, and indoor tanning. Dr. Shah treats all general dermatology conditions and has a special interest in cosmetic and laser procedures.

I generally do not write negative reviews for doctors, but unfortunately my experience at this appointment was disappointing. I waited about 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time before being seen. When the provider finally came in, the visit felt very rushed, which made it difficult to properly discuss my concerns.
When I asked questions about my treatment options, the responses came across as somewhat dismissive and condescending. I was hoping for a more collaborative conversation about my care.
Additionally, despite explaining during the appointment that I was not comfortable taking a particular medication, that same medication was ultimately prescribed. This left me feeling like my concerns were not fully heard.
I respect that providers are busy, but I believe patients deserve adequate time, respectful communication, and to feel that their preferences are taken into consideration during treatment decisions.

Dr. Shah is very competent & efficient. I have seen her a few times & it was very helpful to get appointments rather immediately. While the purposes of the appointments where handled/assessed as needed, if you are a patient who is anxious in medical appointments or don't know what questions to ask, my experience was that I had to drive the conversation to get any information out of Dr. Shah (and the assisting staff) other than her top-level answer/evaluation. At each of my visits, she would advise, "this is what's going on," & I had to follow up with "...and what, if anything, can or should be done?" & other questions regarding cause, care, follow-up, treatment, recommendations, offered services & estimates, etc. This note isn't a negative review, but rather context for any who prefer a different bedside manner or who aren't as confident proactively discussing things with their doctors. I appreciate Dr. Shah's quick diagnoses otherwise, especially when anxious for an immediate answer.

dr. shah is great! her exam was extremely thorough. she explains everything in detail, and goes beyond dermatology. she checked my blood test from another provider in order to make a diagnosis baed on one of my health concerns. she has a great bedside manner that makes you comfortable as soon as she steps into the exam room. i highly recommend dr. shah.

Dr Avnee Shah is very thorough in her examination and takes her time to answer all my questions. I never felt rushed and I never felt like just another patient. She has an excellent well-run and immaculate office and a friendly and welcoming staff. I left feeling confident about my skin health plan and grateful to have found such a good caregiving doctor.
