About Dr. Azra Hakimi

Dr. Hakimi is a dedicated pediatrician whose care philosophy centers on compassion, trust, and partnership with families. She believes that caring for a child means caring for the whole family, recognizing the unique needs of each child and their support system. She takes time to listen and understand, providing evidence-based medical care along with reassurance and guidance for parents. Dr. Hakimi has a special interest in supporting children and families navigating behavioral and developmental conditions, including attention deficit disorder, anxiety, depression, and autism. She is also passionate about caring for children with asthma and providing comprehensive newborn care, helping parents feel confident and supported as they adjust to life with a new baby. Dr. Hakimi completed medical degree at Mahatma Gandhi Mission's Medical College, Aurangabad, India and her residency at Henry Ford St. John Children's Hospital, Detroit, Mich. As a resident of the community she serves, Dr. Hakimi is deeply connected to the families in her care and honored to support them at every stage of their child’s development. Outside the practice, Dr. Hakimi is married and a proud mother of three adult children. She finds joy in cooking and recharges with a daily walk, which she sees as a peaceful and grounding part of her routine.
