What Is Integrative Medicine?
Integrative medicine is a form of healthcare that combines conventional Western medicine with alternative and complementary practices. This approach takes into account the whole person – mind, body, and spirit – and aims to address the root cause of illness rather than just treating the symptoms.
What is Hijama?

About Our Provider
With over 15 years of experience, Babar A Qadri, a seasoned Physician Assistant, founded the Integrative Medicine & Hijama Clinic in Canton, Michigan, driven by patient and community encouragement. He holds a Doctorate in Physician Assistant Studies from Mercy University - Bronx Campus. The clinic addresses patient needs through natural and holistic approaches, emphasizing food as medicine. Qadri tailors specific foods and lifestyle modifications to each patient, aiming to alleviate conditions and enhance health. Prioritizing preventive medicine, he employs strategic approaches for optimal patient outcomes. Previously at the HUDA Clinic, Qadri introduced educational treatment plans and initiated the HUDA Urban Garden, dedicated to growing foods to treat chronic diseases. Both the clinic and garden operate on community funding and volunteer support. At the Integrative Medicine & Hijama Clinic, Mr. Qadri, or Q, sees patients of all ages and mentors nursing and medical students (high school to master's programs). As a professor at Wayne State University's Physician Assistant Program, he teaches physical exams and naturopathic medicine. Q often shares his passion, stating, “If you love your job, you feel like you've never worked a day in your life.”

Listen up! If you haven't thought about switching providers, you probably should think about it now. Dr B. Was amazing, very polite, empathetic and clear of all of his medical discussion & allowed for me to be apart of it. .. Staff was very polite and made you comfortable, every step of the way. I was on the way to my appointment that was at 3 pm and got a call at 2:20 saying I couldn’t be seen they have to reschedule I’m a truck driver and my time is limited I’m very unhappy with this office and won’t be going back or recommending their office to anyone

Dr. Q is an EXCELLENT Dr. He’s great with the kids as well. VERY thorough and efficient with exams. His motto, let food be your medicine and medicine be your food shows during appointments. Yes, he wil prescribe medication but, he doesn’t forget using food and other holistic suggestions which is exactly what I was looking for in a doctor and hard to find. I’ve invited family and friends to see him and they all switched over. It’s a long drive but worth every mile. I will continue to bring my family here for care. We love Dr. Q.
