I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Master's in Nursing from Walden University. I have extensive medication management experience across the lifespan, including ADHD, OCD, mood disorders, and personality disorders. With multiple years in mental health, I believe that when medication is indicated, it is best to start low and go slow. Successful medication management, in my view, is based on open communication between myself and you. I place a strong focus on listening to you, addressing your concerns, and answering all your questions.
What should a new client know about working with you?
As a mental health care provider, I am committed to providing a safe, supportive and respectful space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I believe that every client is unique and deserves a personalized approach that suits their needs and goals. I use evidence-based techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing to help you cope with challenges, overcome obstacles, and achieve positive change. I also value your feedback and collaboration throughout the process. Working with me means that you are not alone in your journey of healing and growth. What is your typical process for working with clients?
My typical process for working with clients is based on a collaborative and holistic approach that considers their individual needs, preferences, and goals. I start by conducting a comprehensive assessment that includes a detailed history, a mental status examination, and relevant psychometric tests. I use this information to formulate a diagnosis and a treatment plan that is tailored to the client's specific situation and challenges. I then discuss the plan with the client and obtain their informed consent before initiating any intervention.
Depending on the client's needs, I may use various modalities of psychotherapy, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, or psychodynamic therapy. I also prescribe medication when indicated and monitor its effectiveness and side effects. I regularly review the client's progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed. I also provide psychoeducation, support, and guidance to the client and their family members or caregivers. I strive to establish a trusting and respectful relationship with the client and to empower them to achieve their desired outcomes.
Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $299 for 45 minutes
Ongoing session: $199 for 30 minutes

He was awful. I needed medicine I'm already on and he was talking shout if I switch to him, he'd take ne off other. education I'm on. um! No thanks! And, there is no reason he should of had a record of my medications, before even meeting with me. He needed to ask my permission. sp, why would I switch to him when he not only won't prescribe the medication I needed, but wanted to take me off another one? Yeah, right! I'll just keep my doctor, & keep searching.

What a fantastic way psychiatrist. If you’ve seen several doctors in this specialty it’s likely you’ve encountered those who don’t really listen or are quick to prescribe medication. I loved that this provider really took his time to get to know me and wants to work with me to get to the root of the problem. I wish more doctors in the mental health field operated this way. Much better than my local Doctors, most could care less in my area. Way too many of us old folks and the medical folks here are overworked. Take 30 to 60 days just to see a Dr. I'm so happy my wife along with Humana lead me in the RIGHT DIRECTION. We need many more Doctors and Nurses like him. Listened, ask many questions and SOLVED MY PROBLEM i was having. We were between a "brick and a hard rock" but he knew what was BEST FOR ME. Extremely rude doctor he seemed nice at first. Here is what happened, I had a good appointment he seemed nice I appreciated his help he said if I had any questions to contact him and he sent me an email that what I presume was his info. I had a question about my prescription since I didn't get a notification or email that it got sent I contacted the pharmacy about it but they asked for a pin I got confused so I tried contacted him the next day since it would be rude to ask him the same day, he responded an hour later, and started ridiculing me and mocking me asking why I didn't contact him through his phone number or personal email (Wich I assumed I did) then he was mocking me saying should he pick it up for me and should he do everything for me. (Keep in mind I just met this doctor for a day barely spoke to him). I tried to stay polite and he just kept rambling making fun of me so I told him I didn't appreciate how he was speaking to me hung up and canceled my next appointment.
